Viura Trading was founded in Spain in 2026. Behind it are two partners with experience in international trade and business development on both sides of the Atlantic.
Viura, the grape behind one of our favourite wines, and one of our best sellers too, ended up giving the company its name.
Marcela has built her career in more than four countries, specialising in opening international markets for different companies and products. That path taught her to move easily between very different cultures and markets.
Miguel is a business administrator with years of experience in management and business development in Europe.
Their paths crossed in New York, on one of those projects: the international expansion of wines, opening markets and following each label to its new destination. There they confirmed what experience had already taught them, what it takes for a product to cross an ocean and find its place. From that work together, and a friendship that stayed, came the idea of combining their careers. In 2026 that idea became Viura Trading.

Viura
Viura, also known as macabeo, is a white grape widely grown in northern Spain, especially in La Rioja. It was the grape behind one of our favourite wines, and one of the ones we sold most together in New York.
